These subjects are studied on campus during the week. If you would like to enjoy these on your home days they would be a wonderful addition to your family culture. Nature study is also a wonderful thing to do together as a family.

Scripture & Literature Memory

Scripture memory can add lasting fruit into your homeschool day. Access our memory passage in the file above. Whether at snack time, at night or even in the car using audio, a family literature read aloud will create family memories that build your family culture. Talk to your child’s literature teacher about a selection for your family.

Science, Math, and Language Arts

The study of Beautiful and well-written language is the foundation of writing. It is essential that every family view an ELA (Language Arts) class to see how this very important subject is studied. Copywork and dictation is a subject that will need parental involvement on your home days, and the ELA teacher can help you feel comfortable with these lessons.

Meeting with the math teacher will also be imperative to understand how these lessons are taught on campus and carried out on the home days.

Spanish, Shakespeare, Art, & Handicrafts

The children absolutely love diving into Shakespeare. Spanish is also taught on campus with assignments posted for home days.

You will notice that you started the journey with this video. At this point, we implore you to view it again. It will be the encouragement you need, as well as give you inspiring ideas you may not have digested in the beginning of this educational series.

Learning alongside your children

Learning with your children is an adjustment for all families and it will look different for every person. This is why continuing your education is important. You must remember your why for those challenging days. It is also important to know where you are going in this marathon. Discuss the progression of language arts with your child's teacher, for example, to ensure when you should look for certain indications of growth and expectations.

Tips for Homedays

Don't try to mimic classroom time at home. Enjoy the freedom of free afternoons to enjoy nature and time together as a family.
